Your questions, our answers

The 10 questions that come up most often when starting Forex and after finishing the training. If your question isn’t here, write to us: the team will answer.

You follow the "first 4 weeks of practice" program from module L3M10, that’s your structured action plan. Week 1: set up your demo broker account (not TradingView) and keep a trading journal. Weeks 2-3: execute your personal plan on demo, 1 to 3 trades per day maximum. Week 4: monthly review, an honest audit of your trades, adjustments. The goal isn’t to win fast. It’s to stabilize your discipline and your ratios over 30+ trades before going live.

There’s no fixed duration. It’s your consistency that decides, not the calendar. Count on at least 2 to 4 weeks of serious demo practice, and longer if needed. The real signal to go live is the official checklist (module L3M10): ≥ 20 documented demo trades, win rate ≥ 50%, average R/R ≥ 1:1.8, drawdown ≤ 10%, at least 2 weeks of consistency, and zero discipline incidents. Until all 6 criteria are met, you stay on demo. Nobody wins live if they can’t win on demo. The more you consolidate your method, the more you protect your real capital.

Yes, your access to the training is permanent. All L1, L2 and L3 modules stay available from your dashboard, for life. You can come back as many times as you need: it’s even recommended. Risk management, psychology and capital management concepts become clearer when you re-read them after taking a few real losses. Retaking the level quizzes is also useful to check your mastery.

No. Losses on demo are exactly why we practice on demo. As long as you learn from each loss (by analyzing your trading journal), you’re making progress. What should alert you: revenge trading, no longer following your plan, increasing your positions to "win it back." If you recognize these signals, stop for 48 hours, re-read module L3M6 on trader psychology, then ease back in with a single position per day. Trading is won over 1,000 trades, not 10.

Three concrete indicators, not feelings: (1) you have at least 30 trades in your trading journal, (2) your average win / average loss ratio is above 1.5, (3) you follow your trading plan without deviating in more than 8 out of 10 cases. If these three criteria are met, you can go live, but with very small capital (50 to 100 USD), not all your capital at once. In the first weeks live, your mindset changes; that’s normal. Keep small positions while your psychology adjusts.

Yes, but not to get rich in 6 months. With 100 USD well managed (maximum 1% risk per trade, i.e. 1 USD), you learn in real conditions without risking what you can’t afford to lose. The 6-month goal isn’t to double your capital. It’s to manage not to lose it while executing your plan. If you finish the year with 110-120 USD and 100+ disciplined trades behind you, you’ve gained the essential thing: the skill. The capital will come later.

Choose a broker regulated by a recognized authority (FCA UK, ASIC Australia, CySEC Cyprus, FSCA South Africa). Verify its regulation on the regulator’s official website before sending a single dollar. Absolute red flags: promises of guaranteed gains, requests to transfer to a personal account, refusal of withdrawals, pressure to deposit more. Module L2M9 explains in detail how to open a demo account with a regulated broker before risking real capital. Never trust a "coach" who asks for your trading credentials.

Yes, and it’s AFX Institute’ core commitment. Three channels stay open for life: (1) the help center and the team for your questions, and the two official channels for the school’s announcements, (2) completion sessions online for learners nearing the end of their path, (3) your dashboard with all modules available at will. Nobody becomes independent alone. The support continues until you’re genuinely comfortable in your practice.

Intro sessions are designed for learners who are just starting or beginning their path, they help you get going as a group, lay the foundations and meet the AFX team. Completion sessions are for learners who have finished the L1, L2 and L3 modules. We work on your personal trading plan, your journal, your first demo trades and the transition to live. Both formats are available online.

No. It’s a scam, no exceptions. No legitimate trader, not even the best hedge funds in the world, makes 50% per month on a recurring basis: the best managers’ annual returns are around 20-30% per year, not per month. Never hand your capital to a third party who promises fixed or guaranteed returns. Never give out your trading credentials. If a "coach" or a "manager" asks you for money to trade on your behalf with promises of gains, it’s a scam. Report it and cut contact.
