Is the course really free?
Yes, entirely, and no card required. The thirty-one modules, the Simulator, the trading journal and the group sessions are all available without paying anything. AFX Institute is funded by its broker partners, never by you. Your account and your funds stay with the broker, and we never touch them.
Create my free account →How do I create an account?
From the sign-up page: name, email address, password and country. The account is active immediately. Nothing to confirm, no email to wait for. You are then taken to a short entry assessment that places your path at the right level based on what you already know.
Create my account →What is the entry assessment for?
It saves you from re-reading what you already know. A few questions are enough to place your level, and your path starts in the right place: at the first module if you’re a beginner, straight at the tools if you already have experience. You keep access to every module either way.

How do I change my account email address?
Write to us from the contact page with your old and new addresses: the change is made by hand, deliberately. An email address is the key to an account. Changing it without a human check would be the easiest weakness to exploit.
Write to us →How do I delete my account and my data?
Ask from the contact page, with the address of the account concerned. Deletion is final: progress, trading journal, certificates and history all go with it. We confirm in writing once it’s done. Your rights of access, rectification and erasure are set out in the privacy policy.
Privacy policy →How do I switch the site to English or French?
The language switch is in the menu at the top of every page. Your choice is saved to your account, so it follows you from one device to another. The whole product is bilingual: modules, tools, interface.
What do you do with my personal data?
We keep what serves your training: your account, your progress, your journal. Nothing is sold to anyone. You can ask to see, correct or erase your data at any time. The privacy policy details every category and how long it is kept.

I forgot my password : how do I recover it?
From the log-in screen, click “Forgot password?” and enter your account’s address. You’ll receive a link to choose a new one. The link lasts one hour and works only once, if it has expired, request another; no harm done. Do check your spam folder.
Reset my password →I can’t log in
Three causes, in order of frequency. The address has a typo, check the domain, “gmail.co” and “hotmail.con” are the most common. The password belongs to another service. Or you created the account with a different address. If in doubt, request a reset link: it will tell you whether an account exists on that address.

How many modules are there, and how long does it take?
Thirty-one modules across three levels, each taking fifteen to thirty minutes to read. At one module a day, expect a month; nothing forces that pace. Your progress is saved: you always pick up where you left off.
See the programme →Can I go back over the modules after finishing?
Yes, access is permanent, for life. All three levels stay open from your dashboard and it’s actually recommended: risk management and psychology land far harder when re-read after a few real losses. Retaking the quizzes is a good way to check what has stuck.
Back to the modules →Why is a module locked?
Levels open one after another: level 2 requires passing the level 1 quiz, level 3 the level 2 one. This isn’t a commercial constraint. The advanced modules assume what the earlier ones establish, and reading them out of order gives the illusion of understanding. The quiz can be retaken as often as needed.
See my path →I failed the level quiz: what happens?
Nothing, except that you retake it. There is no attempt limit and no penalty. The feedback points you back to the exact sections you stumbled on: re-read them, then try again. A failed quiz tells you which page to re-read, nothing more.
My progress has disappeared : what should I do?
First check you’re logged into the right account: progress follows the account, not the browser, and it does happen that two accounts get created with two addresses. If it is the right account, write to us from the contact page with your address: we can find the progress in the database and get back to you.
Write to us →I’ve finished the course · what now?
You follow the “first four weeks of practice” programme in the last module: set up a demo account with the broker, keep your journal from the very first trade, and only raise your stake when the journal’s numbers justify it. The Simulator and the journal remain your two daily tools. The course ends, the practice begins.
Open my journal →The tools
What is the Simulator?
A decision exercise on real past markets. A chart stops at one candle, you give your direction, your stop and your target; the rest unfolds and the debrief tells you what your decision was worth, with findings that point to the exact section of the module concerned. It’s where you train your decisions at no risk.
Open the Simulator →What is the trading journal for?
To see what you actually do, rather than what you think you do. Every logged trade feeds your statistics: win rate, gain/loss ratio, plan discipline, and an analysis of your edge by session, day and pair. It’s the only tool that keeps the record, and the decision to go live depends on it.
Open my journal →What is the AFX Reading?
A daily teaching analysis of the real market. You put down your own reading first, then you see the expert’s and compare. The order matters, and it’s what makes it an exercise rather than a signal. It never says what to buy or at what level: it is not a recommendation service.
Open the Reading →Do you provide trading signals?
No, and that’s a matter of principle, not a technical limit. A signal makes you dependent on whoever issues it; the Institute exists to make you capable of deciding for yourself. So you will never find a prescribed entry, target or stop here, but you will find everything you need to set them yourself.
How do I create my trading plan?
The plan is filled in directly inside the module that teaches it: pairs, sessions, timeframes, entry and exit rules, risk management. It saves to your account, updates when your rules change, and exports to PDF. It’s the document you re-read when the market pushes you to improvise.
The broker
Which broker do you recommend, and why that one?
The Institute works with a regulated partner broker, whose link is available from your dashboard once the assessment is done. You remain free to choose another. The criteria for judging any broker are taught in the relevant module.
See the partner broker →How do I spot a fraudulent broker?
Check the licence on the regulator’s own site, never on the broker’s: a displayed number proves nothing. Be wary of a withdrawal that drags, an adviser pushing you to deposit more, a bonus tied to a trading volume, and any promise of returns. The recognised authorities are the FCA, ASIC, CySEC and FSCA.
Money and capital
Does the Institute receive my money?
Never, at any point. Your funds go straight to the broker, into your account, in your name, and you alone control them. The Institute collects no payment and has access to none of your accounts.
How much capital do I need to start?
None to learn: the course, the Simulator and the journal are free and cost nothing. For real practice, you start with what you can lose without it changing anything in your life. The capital management module deals with exactly this question, with figures.
Certificates
How do I get my level certificate?
It is issued automatically as soon as you pass a level’s quiz: there is nothing to request. It carries your name, the level validated, its date and a unique serial number. You’ll find it from your account.
See my certificates →Can my certificate be verified by a third party?
Yes. Every certificate carries a serial number that opens a public verification page: anyone entering that number sees the name, the level and the date, straight from our records. That’s what separates a certificate from an image anyone could make.
Is the certificate a recognised diploma?
No, and we don’t claim it is. It is a certificate of completion: it proves you followed and passed a level of our course, nothing more. It is not a state diploma, not a professional certification, and not an authorisation to carry out any regulated activity.
Community and sessions
How do I sign up for a group session?
From the group courses page: pick a session, online or in person, and book your place. Initiation sessions are for those starting out, completion sessions for those further along. They are free, and places are limited by group size.
See the sessions →How do I become a partner of the Institute?
The “become a partner” page sets out the programme and its application form. The principle: you recommend a course you stand behind, with a tracked link and a dedicated dashboard. Every application is reviewed by hand. This is not an automated programme.
See the partner programme →How do I join the community (WhatsApp, Telegram)?
The links are on the community page: the WhatsApp Channel, the main channel, and the Telegram channel, the backup channel. These are broadcast channels, there is no group: members cannot see each other, so no stranger can spot you and message you privately. AFX Institute will never contact you privately to offer you an investment, an account manager or signals: any message of that kind is a scam. For a question, write to the team.

Does the site have a dark mode?
Yes. The theme button is in the menu: light, dark, or your device’s setting. Your choice is saved to your account and applies to the mobile app too.
Is there a mobile app?
An app is in preparation, with the modules readable offline: useful when the network is patchy. In the meantime the site works on phones and can be added to your home screen from your browser’s menu.
The site is slow, or a page won’t load
Reload the page first: most freezes come from a connection interrupted mid-load. If it persists, try another browser or another connection, which separates a network problem from a site problem. If it still persists, write to us with the page, the device and the browser. Those three details save a round trip.
Report the problem →A question nobody has asked yet?
